President / Owner
David has worked in the Audio Visual industry for over 25 years. After graduating from the University of Colorado with a degree in Audio and Video Production and Engineering, he began his career as a technician and quickly advanced through technical and management ranks. These experiences provided David with a holistic view of his industry and caused him to begin to formulate a vision for a new business model focused on the development and growth of the employee and a service model with tailored solutions and transparency for clients. In 2002, David launched AVEX and put his plan into action. In his free time, David enjoys activities with his family, music, travel, and fly fishing.
Director of Operations
Mike has been in the production and live entertainment industry for over 15 years and brings a background rooted in the theatre community via a degree from Augsburg college. He began his career at AVEX as a Technical Specialist and was quickly promoted to Project Manager. With the continued growth at AVEX, and Mike’s track record of leadership, he was promoted to Operations Manager and then Director of Operations. Mikes approach to management, development, and customer service has been instrumental in the exciting growth that AVEX has experienced. He seamlessly cultivates a creative environment while maintaining operational excellence. In his free time, Mike loves to travel, play softball and poker, and also remains active in the theatre community.
Director of Sales and Marketing
Tim began his career with AVEX in 2005. His background in lighting design, energetic approach to event design and high level of customer service were quickly noticed and propelled him into a client management position. After service as an account manager for 7 years with the company, Tim was promoted to his current position managing the sales and marketing efforts of the company. With 14 years at AVEX, Tim has been an innovative force, driving the company focus and skill-set forward. When he’s not working with all the amazing people here, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Lauren, and is also an active member of the Minneapolis/St. Paul theatre community.
Branch Manager - North Carolina
Josh joined the AVEX team in 2007 as a field technician and quickly became the lead technical director and project manager for AVEX. In 2013, he moved to North Carolina to establish a new location for the company and further expand our presence in the national marketplace. With nearly two decades of industry experience and a passion for an enhanced customer experience, Josh has worked to position AVEX as one of the foremost audio visual companies in quality event production. Josh enjoys spending his free time with his incredible wife and two children.
