We look forward to working with you at the
Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot!
Some items to note while on premises:
PARKING - Use the laptop to enter your ticket number when you arrive. Then use the same ticket to scan yourself out. Park on level P2 in the parking garage.
LUNCH - Complimentary lunch is available between 11am-1pm everyday in the employee cafeteria. Enjoy meals in the communal cafeteria or the AVEX office. Ask an AVEX employee or hotel manager if you do not know where these locations are. Do not take items from the guests break stations or buffets. If the client offers you lunch or dinner buffets then it is okay.
BREAKS - Avoid public spaces of the hotel during breaks. If you consume nicotine products ask an AVEX employee or hotel manager where the designated areas are.
KEYS - All keys must be stored in the hotel lockbox at all times when not in use and may never be left anywhere else. When you need the keys, you must check them out of the lockbox yourself, and when you are done, you must check them back in — the same person who checks keys out is responsible for checking them back in. Keys are never to be handed off directly from one person to another. If you are ending your shift and someone else needs the keys, you must check them back into the lockbox before leaving. The incoming person must then check the keys out themselves, and when they are done, they must check them back in before leaving. No exceptions.
SCISSOR LIFT ETIQUETTE - DO NOT drive the lifts if you do not have certification to do so. If you need to put the lift away and all rooms are being used it must be brought down to level P1 in the parking garage. Do not leave anything in the lift. Keep it clean.
BE PROFESSIONAL - If ANY DAMAGE to the property or AV gear occurs notify an AVEX employee or hotel manager immediately. Use elevators located on level B at all times to move gear to and from the office and cage area. Do not use foul language when on premises. Do not push cases/carts through areas where guests are congregating during receptions/events.
SET & STRIKE DRESS CODE - If you do not have an AVEX shirt or name tag, show blacks are acceptable. No long/excessively baggy pants, no shorts. Appropriate work shoes (no sandals, flip-flops, or slippers.) All clothing/shoes must be entirely black.
EVENT DRESS CODE REQUIREMENTS - Show blacks. Business casual, button down black shirt, black polo shirt or black sweater(no sweat shirts). Dockers or dress pants, dress shoes. NO HATS.
Preferred but not required - Suit or blazer with a dress shirt and dress pants(Black jeans are acceptable. Blue jeans are not acceptable).
