Our office is located in the heart of the Triad in Kernersville, and serves the entire Piedmont area – Greensboro, Winston Salem, and High Point, as well as the surrounding cities (Clemmons, Summerfield, Pleasant Garden, Burlington, Gibsonville, Elon, Lexington, Asheboro, Jamestown and Thomasville.)

AVEX North Carolina began in 2013 as new branch of AVEX Audio Visual. We are proud to provide Audiovisual services to various hotels in Greensboro and Winston-Salem directly, as well as event production services to corporate clients and event planners.  In addition, we have creative lighting and design services for weddings, reunions, receptions, and other social functions.

Winston-Salem is the county seat of Forsyth County, and the second largest city in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina. It is the fifth largest city in North Carolina, behind Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, and Durham, respectively.  It is known as the “Twin City” because of its dual name, which also makes an interesting connection to AVEX’s main location, the “Twin Cities” of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Winston-Salem has a rich history. The area was originally founded in 1753 by Moravian settlers, with Bethabara and Bethania being the first settlements.  The first tree for “Salem”, as the town was first named, was felled in 1766.  The town was officially incorporated in 1856. The town of Winston was first established in 1851 as the county seat of Forsyth County.  The two towns were first referred to together as “Winston-Salem” in 1880 by the U.S. Post Office, and officially incorporated as one town in 1913.

Winston-Salem is home to many historical museums and locations.  “Old Salem” is one of the largest – a restored Moravian settlement with original buildings and interactive exhibitions of daily life, with real blacksmiths, cobblers, tinsmiths and other tradespeople practicing their craft and giving demonstrations for visitors.  Bethabara and the Reynolda House and Gardens are also two notable attractions.

Winston-Salem is also home to numerous arts organizations. Winston Salem is often referred to as “The City of Arts.” In fact, the first arts council in the United States was formed in Winston-Salem in 1949. Some of these organizations are The University of North Carolina School of the Arts, The Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art, The Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts, The Winston-Salem Theatre Alliance, Sawtooth Center for Visual Arts, Piedmont Opera Theater, Winston-Salem Symphony, Twin City Stage, and the Stevens Center for the Performing Arts.

Of course, you need high quality microphones to help you be heard clearly. Our wireless microphones can be used for a variety of applications. A wireless lavaliere (or lapel) mic, or an over-the-ear (countryman) style microphone is perfect for presenters. Our wireless handheld mics are great for panel discussions, audience Q&A sessions, and announcements.  Our presidential podium (or “gooseneck”) style mics and push to talk table microphones give crystal clear sound and an element of class to any event.  In addition, we have a range of vocal, condenser, and instrumental microphones.

Lighting –

With a custom lighting design from AVEX Audio Visual, you can transform the stage or the entire room.
